Under the company name Lebeuf, Milliet et Cie, the factory obtains numerous prizes, a gold medal in 1864 and 1867 and nothing less than a quotation in L’Éducation sentimentale by Flaubert. The worst came at the end of the 19th century with the closure of Creil and the transfer of all activities to Montereau, although the Creil and Montereau names were maintained. The year 1895 also marks the beginning of the decline with a little renewed production.
